Unhealthy, sad Relationships have some general notable characteristics in common. Here are some basic guidelines and if you can spot the red light lighting up in your relationship, you can prevent a communication break down or even a relationship break up!

1. Avoidance

Many people in unhealthy relationships simply avoid facing reality. There are many reasons for this. For instance, deep down inside, the people involved may be trying to make themselves appear superior.

Or perhaps they don’t want to face the fact that their mates really aren’t who they say they are. For example, Person A might cover up and make excuses for his mate, Person B, who is always late coming home from work and almost always misses family functions. Person A could be trying to avoid reality and make up excuses to cover up an affair that Person B is involved in so that it doesn’t destroy their “perfect image” in everyone’s eyes. Or Person A could be avoiding the fact that Person B is a workaholic.

2. Burnout

Although many can carry out romance throughout their entire relationships, the actual honeymoon period does have to end, in reality.

A tip here. Those who can keep the “love” fires burning, not 24 / 7 but off and on regularly during their relationship, have better chances of healthier relationships than those who suffer burnout and don’t know where to turn or who turn to unhealthy solutions.

In short, every relationship has its highs and lows. During the low times, like maybe when one person begins to feel disillusioned with marriage, or maybe trapped, tired, helpless, depressed or let down, if this person reaches out to unhealthy alternatives, like getting a fake substitution - maybe seeking another mate in secret, getting “high,” or some other negative behavior, once-healthy relationships can suffer.

Instead, the couple needs to face issues together; add some new goals to the relationship, do some fun things together more, talk more, etc.

3. Compatibility Issues

Opposites attract; or do they? Sure it’s great to have some “spice” in your life. But relationships are about getting your needs met - at least on some level. And constant negativity can certainly hinder intimacy. So those who have a difficult time focusing on what attracted them to their mates in the first place can suffer unhealthy, sad relationships, constantly in conflict over issues with which they can’t agree.

4. Devotional Void

A lack of commitment or ardent love can make for unhappy relationships. Being friends or roommates is one thing. Being committed, loving soul mates is another. Being “in love” 24/7 doesn’t necessarily have to be a requirement, but being in a “loving” committed relationship can make the difference. If you find your mate drifting away, ask yourself if you have been comitted to your relationship.

5. Enthusiasm Dwindles

If you don’t add in some spice once in awhile, you can get the same old, same old. Couples caught up in routines can lose that spark of enthusiasm; i.e. zest of life in their relationships if they forget to be spontaneous once in awhile or forget to flavor their relationship with fun, adventure, romance.

6. Forgiveness Void

No one is perfect. Mistakes are a part of life. Those unwilling or unable to forgive, can pretty much count on having more unhealthy relationships over time. Relationships based or growing on anger, spite, disgust, resentment or other negative feelings associated with lack of forgiveness are like wilted flowers. They need tending to or they’ll die.

7. Guise

Simulated relationships or those under the guise of having a solid, happy relationship are not destined for success, on the whole. Or rather false is as false does, as Forest Gump might say. Pretending wears thin and doesn’t last long.

8. Harm

Harmful thoughts, words and actions can sure lead to unhealthy relationships. An occasional outbreak during a stressful moment might be considered normal like swearing; i.e. if someone hasn’t been raped, battered (or other sever trauma has occurred) by the other party. However, harmful, violent actions such as those and repeated verbal negativity is abusive and not healthy in relationships - or life.

9. Indulgence

Instant gratification or indulgence of unhealthy behaviors is a sign of trouble. Grabbing chocolate to satisfy a craving is one thing. Grabbing illicit drugs or another mate in secrecy is another. Yielding to unhealthy temptations and desires is a pathway to unhealthy relationships.

10. Just say yes

Not being able to draw boundaries or sustain limits is another possible path to sad relationships. For example, if one person in the relationship has a difficult time saying “Yes” and setting limits, his or her mate could always come in second, third or forth - - rarely first in the other person’s eyes and agenda. And while it’s fine to take a back seat once in awhile, people make time for priorities and in healthy relationships, both parties feel and share the value of being number one with one another.

Bad habits, we all have them. They keep us from accomplishing our dreams, make us say and do things that really aren’t in our integrity.

Good habits allow us to transition through our day on autopilot. So much so, we forget that our good habits have a bigger strong hold.

Dr. Phil McGraw, TV-psychologist and Oprah offspring, says that we need to, “Behave our way to success.” I cringe when I hear this, don’t you? It sounds so easy. Yet, we both know it isn’t.

Positive psychology, the scientific study of happy, confident people, presents many proven techniques that assist in transitioning bad habits into good habits. Here are four proven techniques:

1. In order to eliminate a bad habit, it must be overridden with a good habit. Not eliminated but replaced. When the good habit becomes stronger, it naturally takes over and folds into our life. Usually becoming transparent because it melts into our life and we have already uncovered the next one to work on.

It doesn’t matter whether you want to replace the habit of lateness, cursing, or overeating. The habit’s intensity determines the effort and time required to replace. Don’t confuse effort with will power–they aren’t the same.

Effort is making a variety of alternatives until the old habit melts into a new one. The right amount of effort will always be different for you than anyone else. There isn’t an exact measurement because each of our unique qualities.

2. Discipline is an exercise of repetition. Not once or twice but until. Until completed.

For instance, writing isn’t a natural talent. Yes, research shows that it helps to start the process young. Yet, there are female Pulitzer Prize winners who began writing in their fifties — after family obligations. They replaced their family responsibilities with the discipline needed to be a successful writer. They disciplined their way to success.

Most people think positive thinkers naturally flow with confidence. Yet, positive psychology statistics dispel this myth. What’s different is the amount of time and space they allow when negative habits or messages appear. They appear incandescent to them.

3. Rewards. As managing partner of a CPA firm for 15 years, I thought rewards meant bonuses and paid massages. After attending Coach University and intensifying my study in the Laws of Attraction, my perspective shifted. Positive people don’t need an outside push; they seemingly have a natural internal push that continually pulls them forward. Sometimes labeled as determination or drive.

When Donald Trump appeared on the Oprah show in April, Oprah asked him, “I heard very successful people don’t even see negative.” Donald chewed on this for a few long television minutes and then responded, “Yes, that is why I hire others who can see what I can’t…. Negative isn’t on my radar screen.”

4. Be assertive on what’s fueling you, as diligent about all things in your realm, as the quality of food you digest, and the purity of the water you drink.

To create a garden of positive habits, surround yourself with flowers not figurative speaking either. Complete a regular inventory. See each item for its truth, intention, and influence. Don’t wave it off as “not that big of a deal.”

Remove negative people, negative television shows, movies, books, even conversations. If Mama, spouse, sister, or brother fits this description, explain its impact on your life. Don’t blame, explain. Explain how it affects your success, your dreams. I’m sure they do what they do out of habit and not purposeful. If presented honestly and lovingly the people involved will see the gift.

An ideal choice is to use a positive clean-burning fuel. This begins with new words (language) to self and others. Each of us make choices every second. Get up, sit down, speak, listen, and so on. Make new choices, ones that fuel positive habits.

Take inventory on your environment and what you tolerate. What is broken, dented, stained? Fix, toss, give away, replace. Eliminate each ball and chain, one at a time, in baby steps. You will walk taller, talk and think clearer. You will attract more results that are positive into your life. Positive attracts positive–the Law of Attraction.

Fuel your surroundings with meaningful and beautiful things. That doesn’t mean expensive. It can simply be a fresh rose on your desk every week and the stopping by the florist or your own garden.

Many habits tend to hide under the bed until dusted. Expect as you replace one, another can appear. Yes, they eventually become fewer. Stay focused and remember, “A rose isn’t a rose without all its beautiful petals.”

Be aggressive. When they appear, and they will, knock them down, toss them out with the trash. And quickly. Don’t give them room to smell or grow. You’ll soon discover each day will be lighter, brighter, and even more successful than the one before. I promise!

These four techniques, continually proven by hundreds of my workshop graduates, will work for you too. They will multiply your dreams and successes over night. Begin small, begin big, just begin, and keep the momentum going…until.

A merchant bank in Carson California or so may have a total different actual rate of interest for a 15000 dollar deferred payment then a bank in Clarksville Tennessee and that makes a big clear gap in your monthly pay offs.

Be hopeful today to investigate if you have a great offer or if you don’t with the moneylender that offers you a money loan. At present you can suss out rates of interest quickly on the internet and encounter if there are possible sneaky traps you should be aware of. It makes no difference if you live in La Puente California or in New Bedford Massachusetts a respectable online check up will economize you often lots of disorder. 5.8 percent loan rate may come out so fair but will it stay immutable after you have to pay for your money loan. Lots of of the banks wil show you a rate that is looking sightly but feels gravely or so after some time. Check up to see if the bank who is tending to give you a credit loan is good. That’s the reason why now you really need to go out and jut out if you can have a loan at a good percent interest rate.

For the whole life, we go on searching for happiness. Happiness is one of the main purposes of our life. To attain happiness, we do so many things. But most of the time we found our self unhappy in the end of our life. Why? Because we do not understand the true cause of happiness. Happiness is like short term plans and long term plan. Long term happiness is the real happiness for most of the time. We have to plan in advance, which type of happiness we requires a short term or long term. There are many enjoyments in life, which gives us short term happiness. These are like laziness, sleeping, watching TV, listening music, playing or dreaming. I do not say that you not to do all these things. But do them only when they are required.

Any thing of them if we do in excess, may give us some happiness in present. But it will take away the long term happiness away from us. Some of us ruin their whole life for these small pleasures. For achieving the real happiness in life, we should be able to understand which thing gives us happiness and what our purposes to be fulfilled in this life. Most of us do not understand all these things we have to go through some initial pains, for achieving this long term goals. But after achieving these goals, most of our worries go away and we found our self happy.

There is a clear example of a student, who study for whole night and got first in class. On the other hand his friend watched movies and played, therefore got failed. Student who studied has taken some extra pain, but achieved a bigger happiness later in term of his success. Every body will like him and quote his examples. Where as the friend, who has gone for short term plans is unhappy after the result. He is compared and looked down by every body. In this way his small term enjoyments turned into long term unhappiness.

If we do not plan from the day one for long term goals, then we are defiantly going to land in unhappiness. We require understanding, which thing gives us happiness; even it may be associated with some pain in present. Your life’s aim should we to attain mastery in the field, which we like and get the exceptional results in that. You may be saying that it is not possible for everybody. But I will not agree, it possible for everybody with some proper planning and taking some pain. We should have the guts to realize our true happiness and fulfill it. This is real purpose of our life. If we not do this, we always remain unhappy

The Internet is inarguably the greatest information medium in the world. Its growth over the last ten years or so - as well as its easy accessibility - has given people the perfect platform to advertise their products. Free DVD copy software is one such product. The advent of the DVD and its subsequent popularity has spawned a proliferation of websites catering to customer’s needs. Almost all of these websites give the lay customer the chance to use free DVD copy software.

Free DVD copy software is generally ready for immediate use and comes as a demo version or a trial version. Its distribution in the Internet serves a dual purpose. First, it is customer friendly, in that the customer gets to test the software for an adequate period of time before deciding upon the purchase of the product. Second, it is a great way for the distributors to reach the masses.

A trial version of free DVD copy software comes with a time constraint. The customer can use all the facilities of the original software until the trial period ends. The demo version of free DVD copy software is different in that there is no time restriction, though it does come with limited options and the menu is not complete. In both cases, they give customers sufficient insight on the feasibility of the product’s use for their purposes. Free DVD copy software on the Internet encompasses a virtually endless gamut, including DVD copying and burning (writing), CD copying and burning, copying DVD to VCD, music editing, audio conversion et al.

As of now - Great Plains Dynamics/eEnterprise is transformed/renamed into Microsoft Great Plains and Microsoft Business Solutions is in process of merging all its accounting applications: Great Plains, Solomon, Navision and Axapta into somewhat granular: Microsoft Financials, Microsoft HR, Microsoft Distributions, Microsoft Project Accounting, etc. So the original design of Great Plains should be deemphasized. But even now - Great Plains is written on the programming language and technology, created in early 1990-th, named Great Plains Dexterity. And the graphical interface looks very user friendly and nice - these are all Dexterity forms and screens.

The original architect of Dexterity, Tim Brookins, pursued several goals, the main are these:

1.	Engine, supporting graphical interface, which is computer platform independent - if you remember those days - the main competition was between Macintosh and Microsoft Windows. Mac was graphical and very popular, but Windows, backed by IBM cloning/platform openness was very dangerous competitor. The new engine was targeted to work on both: Mac and Windows. On the other hand - nobody could look at the future far enough to be sure that other competitors from both Hardware and Operating Systems sides not going to take over. This is why the graphical platform independent engine was required for the new type - Graphical accounting/ERP system: Great Plains Dynamics.

2.	Database platform independence - initially Great Plains used Ctree (available for both PC and Mac) and Btrieve, later on with Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 Great Plains relatively easy introduced it as a new alternative: Dynamics C/S+ on SQL Server. Again - nobody could guarantee which DB will be a winner. Technically Dexterity could easy provide DB switch. Unfortunately - the necessity to support “cheap” databases, such as ctree forced Dexterity architect to use cursors or loops instead of providing aggregation, available on all SQL blends.

To resolve these goals, and following popular those days believe that C programming language is platform independent, C was chosen as the low level language to write dexterity itself.

This was the story, now to the practical side. You can install Dexterity from Great Plains 7.5 or 8.0 CD #2. Obviously it requires a lot of learning / training, but it allows your custom piece be seamlessly integrated with Great Plains interface.

1.	Native Dexterity Cursors. Dexterity was designed as platform independent programming language and so if you want your code to be operable on all currently supported databases - you use Dexterity ranges and loops to manipulate the records

2.	Great Plains Dexterity with SQL Stored Procs Nowadays, most of Great Plains installations are moved to SQL Server - so you can use Dexterity for custom forms drawing only and make the buttons run SQL stored procedures.

3.	COM Objects calls. Beginning with version 7.0 Dexterity supports COM objects - you register them as libraries in Dexterity. Refer the manual. This technique allows you to call such nice things as web services across the internet.

4.	Dexterity Forms - if you like VBA and are comfortable to do all the business logic in VBA - you can use Dexterity as new forms creator/editor. This is OK - but you have to purchase VBA/Modifier and Customization Site Enabler from MBS.

Some restrictions. Great Plains is actually integration of multiple dictionaries: DYNAMICS.DIC, ADVSECUR.DIC, EXP1493.DIC, etc. In your Dexterity customization you can deal with one dictionary - DYNAMICS.DIC. If you need cross dictionaries customization - consider using SQL Stored Procs for crossing dictionary borders and pulling data/making changes in the other dictionary.

Happy customizing! if you want us to do the job - give us a call!

No user manual? Surely you jest!

It may seem comical, but it’s a surprisingly common situation. I’ve encountered many companies that don’t provide any user manuals with their products. If they do, their manuals are often horribly incoherent, or else years out of date. It shouldn’t happen, but it happens all the time.

Now, this problem is less common when buying off-the-shelf software or consumer electronics. That’s because these products typically come from large corporations that pay attention to such details. Among smaller engineering firms though, this is a frequent occurrence. In fact, I’d estimate that about half of the small engineering companies that I’ve encountered are guilty of this offense.

I remember how one engineer told me why his company didn’t provide any user manuals with their products. In hushed tones, he said, “It’s because we don’t make any money by writing manuals. It’s not a money-making venture, so our management doesn’t want to waste time on this.” An annoyed expression crept into his face, then he leaned closer and said, “We have lost so many customers because we don’t have decent documentation. Talk about being penny-wise, pound-foolish!”

It’s not just the customers who suffer when manuals are inadequate or non-existent. What about the employees themselves? What happens when a new engineer comes on board, and has to learn quickly? Or what happens when existing engineers need to familiarize themselves more with unfamiliar aspects of their product lines? The user documentation, if properly written, can provide a gentle and efficient way of bringing the up to speed. Without it, they will be forced to rely more heavily on other engineers to educate them, thus wasting the time of everyone concerned. Weeks, if not months, of valuable manpower can be squandered in this fashion.

At times, a company will pay lip service to user documentation by slapping together some hastily written document that is difficult for a new user to digest. “Who cares about wording anyway?” I’ve heard many engineers say. “We’re not writing poetry or screenplays here. What matters is that the manual must be technically accurate.”

This is an appallingly short-sighted view. Technical accuracy is indeed important, but so are presentation and style. Few engineers would listen to a job applicant who shows up in a bathrobe and slippers, or a litigation attorney who speaks like a valley girl-and yet somehow, these same engineers expect their customers to slog through pages of meandering, poorly phrased text. Even matters as fundamental as spelling, grammar and proofreading are often treated as mere annoyances-piddling details that are worth nothing more than a cursory glance.

(To my relief, I have not encountered any such attitudes at my place of employment. I hasten to say this, lest anyone think that I’m complaining about the people that I work with! No, I’ve found that we all appreciate the value of excellence, for which I am always thankful. But I digress.)

Mind you, I understand that there are times when a company might not choose to invest an all-out effort in user manual development. This can happen during the early startup stages, for example, when manpower is in short supply and the products are still undergoing refinement. Unfortunately, many small companies never grow past that stage. Even after many years, they continue to thinks of user documentation as a trifling detail which deserves only a modicum of effort. By perpetuating that mindset, they ultimately shortchange both the customers and themselves.

Like it or not, a company’s user documentation (or lack thereof) is a reflection on the company itself. You can be sure that your customers will notice if the user manuals are poor or non-existent. In today’s busy world, where people need to absorb information as efficiently as possible, the lack of quality documentation can be nothing short of disastrous.

Passing the CCNA, Intro, and ICND exam is all about knowing and noticing the details. (Which makes perfect sense, since becoming a master networking administrator or engineer is also about noticing the details!) One such detail knows the difference between error detection and error recovery. While the terms are sometimes used interchangeably, they are not the same thing.

Error detection is just that - error detection only. Two common error detection methods are found at the Data Link layer of the OSI model, the FCS (Frame Check Sequence) and CRC (Cyclical Redundancy Check). A mathematical equation is run against the data in the frame, and the result is sent along with the data. The receiver runs the equation again, but this time. If the result is the same, the frame is considered valid; if the result is different, the frame is considered corrupt and is discarded.

Note that the FCS and CRC do nothing in regards to retransmission. They are strictly error detection schemes.

For an example of error recovery, we look to the Transport layer, where TCP runs. TCP performs reliable delivery, and the reason we call it “reliable” is that TCP uses sequence numbers to detect missing segments. If the sender determines from the sequence numbers that the remote host did not receive transmitted segments, the sender will retransmit the missing segments.

The key to keeping the terms straight in your head is to remember that while both error detection and error recovery both detect problems, only error recovery does anything about it. It’s also worth reading an exam question twice when you see either term!
