If You Don’t Have Something Nice to Say…
If You Don’t Have Something Nice to Say… When I was young I was told that if I didn’t have anything nice to say, I shouldn’t say anything at all. I wish that this same advice had gone out to some of my fellow poker online players. Everywhere I turn, from live brick and mortar games to online poker casinos, poker players have mouths that would make a pirate blush. Besides my personal disdain for vulgar language, there is a real practical reason that you should hold your tongue on the poker floor. Many players do not realize that casinos have the complete right to expel unsavory characters from their premises. If you are letting loose a stream of profanities that would merit you a soap washing a couple of decades ago, you are officially considered one of the unsavory characters. The best way to avoid the hassle of being thrown out a casino for language is to keep your thoughts to yourself. Even if you have the urge to share with the table what you really think about a specific player hold back. The joy you would get from an expletive laced dialogue would not be able to balance out your annoyance of being thrown out on the street or kicked out of your favorite online casino.
