Florida Holidays in July
Although we are promised some good weather in the UK this summer, what could be better than spending the first half of July across the Pond, under the glorious Florida sun? If you are going alone or with a few friends, you are sure to have the best time frolicking on the beach in the day and enjoying Miami’s legendary nightlife after the sunset. If you are family holiday-makers, then Walt Disney World Resort is to your service: four huge theme parks, two unique water parks, this is an adventure of a lifetime! Florida holidays offer diversity, and are consistently a popular tourist spot in America.
Howard Johnson in Maingate West in Orlando is ready to welcome you between 7 July and 15 July. The hotel’s relaxed feel is sure to put you in just the right frame of mind to enjoy your week of endless sunshine and days on the beach. It is only a short drive away from Disneyland, with the scheduled transport running regularly to and from your hotel. You and your company can enjoy a visit to the palace of Lion King, chit-chat with the Seven Dwarves, and take pictures next to Mickey and Minnie every day. But beware that there are no lifts at the hotel, although three storeys may not seem like a big deal to young and healthy legs! Still, if you are too tired of running up and down the stairs, there is a plenty to do “in house”. During the day you can take advantage of the luxurious beaches (just don’t forget the sun lotion and glasses!), and if there is too much sun for your children, why not take advantage of a covered swimming pool where they can continue splashing water? The evening ascending, you can move to a tennis court and have a friendly round with your friends or other holiday-makers.
The package holiday at Thunderbird Hotel in Miami runs only two days ahead of Howard Johnson’s, from 5 July to 13 July. Located at the heart of the City of Vice, this is an ideal destination to younger travellers, probably without children. As with most other Florida accommodations, there is a shuttle bus service that takes you around the town, particularly to Aventura shopping mall and to South Beach, renowned for its entertainment and nightlife. You can book all the excursions you want to go to at the hotel. Worry not if shopping and sightseeing do not take your fancy – there is still a plenty to do without going too far away from the hotel. Opt in for a relaxing day on the beach, and to your service there will be sun loungers and parasols, and miles of sumptuous sandy beaches! What can be better than telling friends how you sipped exotic cocktails by the swimming pool under the dazzling Miami sun?
