Respect the Score, Take Action and Date
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not the kind of eligible dude, comfortably occupied by being without a date like a spoil sport. I’d bet people haven’t pegged me to write a blog about great dating and companionship. Go figure.
Helplessness is an avoidable foreign condition and entirely missing from my genetics. Even so, I’ll level with you, I was forced to squelch a special fling and I felt a great deal for but just would never last. I guess somone could say it may have been a while since I dated. I don’t hold the great expectations that came naturally before.
Single life has had its perks so far. This much is certain, I won’t sit tight, faithfully watching Jack Bauer (from 24) episodes off the torrents. The primary factor behind this bout of incidental dating apathy? This isn’t college, and everyone else is boring.
My former football buddy, Tim, who will never have dating lameness, told me he’s now shooting from the same blind as I am. He signed up for Great Expectations Phoenix. A bit out of character, but I can’t argue with getting to know sophisticated ladies who meet my values. Go figure, I bit the bullet and paid the membership fee to get started.
Here’s the deal, ya can’t grovel about being alone when ya haven’t called anyone. Like my mentor and baseball coach Jason Kniffen carried on with a smile, “You’re complaining to the competition, Jeff.”
The man didn’t know my name. Regardles, the man was right without being self-righteous. He always made us laugh. This crazy Dallas matchmaking service I joined could have done a number on the old man’s shiny bald head.
Through great expectations I met some insightful and attractive women that catch my eye. I truthfully had a blast with a few indisputably incredible singles. Went home with a promising exchange of numbers, and even grew some professional connections for my job. Success.
Put yourself in the play. Can’t go wrong if you don’t. Don’t sell yourself short, believe in your own great expectations for life’s sake.
Live It Up!
Keith
