Graduation Diplomas For All
Attractive Doctoral Tams
Part of the graduation attire for those with doctorates includes wearing of the tam instead of the usual caps. The tam is normally worn during the graduation ceremony by faculty members who hold doctorate degrees. The doctoral tams enable the faculty members and professors to make a distinction between themselves and the graduates. The most preferred material for making the tams is velvet, although one can choose any type of tam they want.
The doctoral tams, which are made of velvet, are normally black in color. This is because most of the gowns are black and the black tam makes a perfect match. One can choose any color that matches their gowns. The number of sides the tam can have is normally four, six and eight. The number of sides the tam has does not depend on the university but depends on the person.
To complete the look, the doctoral tams are worn with a tassel attached to them. Those with doctorates prefer using silky tassels or metallic ones. There are others who prefer using gold bullion tassels. One should be certain of the type of tassel to be attached to the tam, because once attached they cannot be removed.
