Al Palazzetto in Venice
My home is to be found in the sestiere di Cannaregio, very close to the Ca’ d’Oro palace, in an extremely central, yet peaceful area. The palace where I live dates back to the 1700’s and reflects characteristic Venetian taste: period furniture, damask materials, Venetian flooring and with a magnificent facade overlooking a typical Venetian canal, the Rio di Santa Sofia.
You will be welcomed on the first floor into a large lobby with visible brick work and a second entrance off the canal. On the second floor you will find the breakfast room furnished in Louis XVI style where I will be pleased to serve you an abundant breakfast each morning. Off the breakfast room are four bedrooms all with private bathroom, while on the third floor attic there is a large, characteristic room and my apartment.
Al Palazzetto has double, triple and quadruple rooms. All the rooms have a comfortable and brand new private bathroom with bath tub or shower and hairdryer as well as satellite digital TV, air conditioning and a safe.
The rooms are decorated in a sophisticated and particular taste which blends in perfectly with the typical Venetian style. The rooms are all large and elegant, with walls covered in damask material and Venetian flooring. Some have exposed beams and four poster beds. The room overlooking the Rio di Santa Sofia, a picturesque canal in the old town center, is very romantic. On’ the top floor is a large attic room with wooden flooring and Louis XVI style furniture.
We would be delighted to welcome whole families, who can stay in the large rooms which can be communicating if required. These rooms are also a perfect option for large groups.
The Al Palazzetto is located at the end of Calle delle Vele, in the quiet Calle Corrente, just a short distance from the Ca’ d’Oro, the magnificent 15th century palace overlooking the Grand Canal.
On leaving this delightful bed & breakfast in Venice, and after a short walk, you will come to some interesting and spectacular sites such as St. Mark’s Square in 10 minutes and the Rialto Bridge in 5 minutes, as well as extremely characteristic places such as the old Jewish Ghetto and the Misericordia Abbey.
The central location of this house in Venice makes it easy for you to head out to some of the islands. In 10 minutes you can reach Fondamente Nuove which is the main route for the island of glass, Murano and the famous islands of Burano and Torcello .
To make your stay even more enjoyable, we will gladly provide you with the most interesting itineraries from an architectural, artistic and even a food and wine point of view!
